What's the point of the sirens? It's a parade, right? Anyone who cares is already watching. then again, why are they running this parade at night through back alleys and deserted streets w/empty sidewalks? All they're doing is annoyingarea residents and "disturbing the peace." Wait, isn't that a crime? Yes, it is for poor/black/Latin@ folks.

But seriously, if this was meant to say "Merry Christmas", yay for them, but there's gotta be a better way to do it. Also, to be fair, not everyone celebrates Christmas. The lights and sirens would probably have been confusing and scary, and the police effort could have been applied elsewhere. SO GLAD I DON'T LIVE IN LA!
