Go do some real work? Roofing and laying cement? That's brainless work that anybody can do. Making music regardless if it is sampling or not takes a creative ability that not everybody has. He is doing something amazing. Dude has been making hits for years.
Also, Pete can easily compose his own original music, just chooses not to. I'd like to see how long you can last chopping samples... shit is tedious as fuck.

i see how you got that conclusion bro, and i agree with you in some cases, But pete rock is truely amazing at what he does.
Sampling is alot harder then it looks/seems/sounds. I been in music all my life and just got into sampling recently, i thought it was gonna be all simple and easy, but its more to the art then just taking a loop and putting drums over it.

ok ok, when i wrote this in the back of my head i knew i was being a hater, i dunno i HONESTLY think it was cause i was just watching a kanye video and his cockyness had me worked up, then i watch pete and it kind of reminded me of that same cockyness.
