What does laser-scanning have to do with 'extra colors, billboards and videotron trucks' ??? There are also laser-scanned tracks for rFactor now and more in the works.

Because those extra tron trucks aren't really on the track. The loud colors and incorrect billboards have nothing to do with laser scanning but they just aren't accurate. Accuracy to the insane degree is just a thing that bugs me so, I appeal more to iRacing. Some people, i.e. yourself (?), just don't care about those inaccuracies, they just want to race...just two different opinions.

Id go with iracing the physic's are spot on and the cars feel like there on the track. Do a few laps in iracing then rfactor and you'll see how the cars seem to hover in rfactor.

this silvesrtone track from rFctor comes not with the game, the rFactor track that really comes with the game is way better then this version of silvrstone that we see on this video

All depends on who made the track, personally I'm not going to pay so much a month for a stupid game. I would rather buy it once and not have to pay for the different cars and tracks.

I would love to have IRacing, but for 13 bucks a month, and to buy a track for $20, isn't just worth it, I'd ither buy me the parts to make me a hobby stock, and race at the local dirt track...

THere's no way you cold race at the local track, buy a car, parts, tires, fuel, entry fees for less or close to the same cost as iRacing. Then.. Can you race that hobby stock every day ?? iRacing isn't cheap, but there are alternatives

Meant to say American Stock(Kinda in a rush in the morning...) Which is a lil bit cheaper :P, but yea you make a good point, Iracing is Nice because it's plug in race to the closest thing to the real deal, but half the fun is building the car :P Iracing would be a great thing to have, if the tracks were atleast half the price it would help, but I do see why it's the price it is.

What bothers me is that the best sims on the market sucks when it comes to accuracy on how much visibility you have, in those cars, you aren't "looking over" and your really low to the ground. But I have rFactor and you can adjust the seat so its not too off, anyway nice vid.

You get a few tracks and 2 types of cars by default. Anything on top of that costs extra.
I added it all up and to access every vehicle and every track you're looking at $450 USD (NOT including the monthly service fees). iRacing is a great racing sim, but it in my opinion, it is not worth $450+.
That price is absurd for what is offered.

well the good thing for some of the great sim racers that do it right now, the offer some credit back to your account if you win some compatitions(probly spelled that one worng...) But the price kills, if you find a way for paying it, and what not, then it would be nice to have...

The thing is you don't need to buy everything. I have only purchased 1 car. Skip barber f2000. 5$. Just having the solstice and f2000 is enough to be able to hone your skillz

With the release of Watkins Glen, the total cost to unlock all the content rises to 475 USD! That isn't including the twelve week championship period it takes to raise your license standing to a level in which you can race anything aside from the Solstice or Legends cars.
iRacing is a FANTASTIC simulator, but is in incredibly expensive.
