Yes, Ron Paul agreed that there should be more investigation of the events surrounding the attacks on 9/11/2001. This has been spread widely by the 911-"Truth" movement.
But you may not be aware of this up-front question asked by Fox News' Carl Cameron as well as Dr. Paul's response which should put this topic to rest. Although I wondered at the time why Cameron would ask Dr. Paul such a question, the 911-"Truth" movement and its leaders such as Alex Jones have strongly supported Dr. Paul as Cameron stated. I believe self-labeled "Truthers" have also misled many who normally would have voted for Dr. Paul to unfortunately vote against him. The self-labeled "Truth" movement unfortunately made Dr. Paul appear to be a tin-foil hat aficionado ally, which of course, he is not.
Although I disagree with much of the 911-"Truth" conclusions, behind such is at least a shade of truth. Operation Northwoods, or Northwoods Document, it's real folks:

By the way, The New American is by the John Birch Society, an organization which believes in a conspiracy, but which also backs their conclusions with much stronger evidence than that by someone like Dylan Avery or Korey Rowe. The JBS is a group which understands the importance of having a good reputation in providing accurate information.
Like Dr. Paul, I agree that there should be additional investigation. And also like Dr. Paul, I disagree with most conclusions of this reactionary, illogical, and unscientific 911-"Truth" movement. They are committing a moral wrong, breaking the 8th Commandment, The Prohibition of False Witnessing, either telling lies, stretching the real truth, or forcing a judgment on anecdotal evidence.
They are unfortunately also creating an environment where people will learn to not listen to anyone with words of warning, like a "Chicken Little" or "Boy who cried Wolf" complex. This is very unfortunate and will end up leading many more astray.
Become educated, look at everything with a critical eye, do not swallow everything you're spoon-fed. Lies are still lies, no matter the source, even from an organization which places the word "Truth" within its title.

I worked at one of these stations. A plane into these would disintegrate when hitting the 10-ft thick reinforced concrete encasements. There'd be a plant shutdown, but after a few weeks, the plant should be up and running again. The only thing which would break into these would be a bunker-busting missile, and the total impacted area would be limited to maybe 50 miles downwind. Not the entire "east coast" as you wrote.

"Rejected by the mainstream media and engineering community" means that most engineers reject it. Steven Jones is a physicist, not an engineer. And a software "engineer" isn't one in a traditional sence, unaware of statics/dynamics/deformable solids.

Well I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree as they say. I could mention a ton of other discrepances pointed out at rensedotcom and who knows how many other sites, & argue all day about it,but its likely that neither of us would convince the other. I guess maybe I have a different appraisal of the veracity and capability of our government leaders than you, for one thing. BTW,a 2006 NY Times and CBS News 9/11 poll showed 53% thought Bush adm. hiding something and 28% believd they're lying.

Storage tanks are easy targets.
There is another danger associated with Nuclear power plants. The 103 United States Nuclear power plants have the "spent" fuel rods -- which are still very radioactive -- stored in mostly unprotected water pools near the reactor. Fuel rods are the source of nuclear energy in a reactor. Spent fuel rods are highly radioactive.

Unfortunately no body really knows what happened on 9/11, not even Bush. We just know that the Official Story is a lie, and that the White House tried to block the 9/11 investigation, and that Philip Zelikow doesn't care much for facts or honesty. Could be that Larry Silverstein did it, who knows- Oh, and we know that PNAC was itching for a New Pearl Harbor so they could implement all their tyranny but they had to sit on their hands until something blew up.

Yes OpusMach, they've been saying this here within this thread, look throughout it with the links below. Although Dr. Paul wants to bankrupt the elite bankers pushing global government by eliminating the Fed & fiat currency, these people don't think that the powers-to-be would want Dr. Paul assassinated for promoting such a Constitutional idea? If Dr. Paul has enough courage to take on the Fed, he'd have enough courage to be with the 911-False movement if it was really true.

Yes radioactive, but "spent" of much of their radioactivity. On storage tanks, it reminds me of something interesting. Orsen Wells had an inflammatory radio broadcast decades ago, later called "War Of the Worlds". During this time, sheeple were shooting water storage tanks confusing them with the three-legged alien invaders described on the radio. On December 31, 1999, Alex Jones had a similar radio broadcast, claiming the Russians launched nuclear ICBMs at the USA. Fear drives sheeple crazy.

You mean the containment area. A penetrating bunker-buster bomb/missle would do the job, but the extent would be like a Chernobyl event, not a "nuclear bomb". According to Wikipedia, "Two people died in the initial steam explosion, but most deaths from the accident were attributed to fallout... The same poll said that only 16% thought that the bush administration was telling the truth about what it knew prior to the attacks, down five points since 2002. Also, who said anything about controlled demolition? You're the one that brought that up. The point is, 53% of the respondents were (and probably still are) skeptical about the whole story in general. It's at the Angus-Reid Global Monitor website btw. It doesn't matter how they came down so much as who all is responsible.

I agree, man. Most 9/11 truthers are the REAL sheep who hurt our anti-war/pro-civil liberties cause. Have you seen the way a lot of these people act? I'm subscribed to RepPress, a guy who has repeatedly exposed Bush of lying and the crimes of Israel, but when RepPress made some videos that debunked 9/11 myths, a lot of his subscribers threw a fit, called him a Zionist-shill, and then unsubscribed. UN-BELIEVEABLE!!
But I do have to question if the government is telling us all there is to know.

okay I guess that was poorly said- what We know is that fire does not cause symmetrical damage, the 911 Commission Report pretended WTC7 did not exist, we know Donald Rumsfeld said Flight 93 was shot down (watch?v=x6Xoxaf1Al0) when the official story says it crashed, we know that WTC7 did not collapse because of "Thermal Expansion", and we know that the source of the hijackers' funding is important (they said that it is not important) But yes, I do not pretend to know what really happened either
