I remember this performance. I was there in Isle of Wight. A great moment this show.
Since than I only saw Roger Chapman in Portugal in the late 80s. He is still performing?

I like you saw this show, so much good music at this festival. Family were one of the better but underated British bands of the time. I feel very fortunate to have been a young man growing up at that time. Now living in Australia and still going to festivals every year.

Family & Wishbone Ash & some couple's tent catching fire in the middle of the field and them being so busy playing hide the sausage they didn't notice and we're all peeing on the tent & even (sob) pouring beer on it cos there was no water. I have *never* seen a girl look more surprised - ever ;-)
About the only other thing I remember was coming round in the tent belonging to the children of god or something, where my mates had dumped me. Very traumatic for a good atheist boy.

Vague memories of seeing these guys at the IOW 38 years ago. It was a fantastic time never to be seen again. Family were light years ahead of their time along with ELP. Great video.

I turned 20 then. 60s teenager. What do I remember? ALL of it! What a brilliant time. So many talented groups, unlike now. Family were probably the oddball group of all time with Roger's unique voice, but this, Burlesque and No Mule's Fool could sway anyone to like them.
