What instrument is Zach playing? Looks almost like a trumpet but has different "valves" (quotations because the things that look like valves almost on his instrument are different). It looks really weird

it's a flugelhorn. i don't know, if you know it now, but wiki says, that it means "flugelhorn" in english. i can only say: you play it like a trumpet, but it sounds warmer, and of course, it looks different. but also there are trumpets which looks like flugelhorns, but they are trumpets. i hope, this helps you :)
