You cannot worship two masters. It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle (it means impossible) than it is for a rich man to enter heaven. Store your treasure not on earth but in heaven. Sell all that you have, give it to the poor, and follow me. Get it? Maybe you spend your time in the OT, where God routinely rewards his favorites with earthly riches. A Christian need only stick with the Gospels. Jesus is quite clear on the subject of obsession with wealth.

The crisis was caused by a combination of stupidity of the people in taking loans they could not afford, but the bigger problem was with the artificial lowering of interest rates to prevent a recession in 2003, and the government policy that forced banks to provide loans to those who could not afford them. Defending the current order, is defending Neomercantilism, not the free market..
