it's like foreign languages, for example, chinese and japanese. they might sound the same to you, but once you learn them you can understand the difference. same with stump and yngwie and all musicians and music. they might be speaking the same language, but they never say exactly the same thing. we're all disappointed in what you morons are fighting about!!!

people who say Stump is a total Malmsteen ripoff obviously don't listen to Stump or Malmsteen! i can tell the difference hearing just one note! there vibratos are different. malmsteen's bends are faster and intonation is almost always perfect. stump will do more traditional sweeps that malmsteen neglects.

and their equalizer settings are different. stump has less treble, and has a strong compression. malmsteen has a more 'glass like' tone.

Actually my dear friend, you are right on most of your points. These comments against such players are just junk for me also. But if you listen to them carefully, really carefully with a musician ear as i beleive what i do, you' ll hear the phrases are just copies of yngwie. I have to tell you that i really like yngwie and play his stuff with my band and this guy is a really second class copy of him. Sorry, no offense but in my oppinion it is the truth.

You can be a virtioso, you can practice for hundreds of years and improve the technique but, you' ll not be anything but shadows if you copy someone like this guy does. Millions of ppl who copy yngwie around the world but they even won' t be remembered after 10 years from now on. Besides all, this guy' s tech. could be discussed to be even half of yngwie's.
