This video payed close attention to the story of the anime and, rather than simple connections from song to video, you have to watch and think of how the song pertains to the video.
For those of you who do not know this anime at all, pay very close attention to the music video. The intro (where it is calm with no guitar or screaming) actually tells you what happened to Fujioka Haruhi and how her life changed in the Ouran High School Host Club. The shabby-looking person in the first few slides is Haruhi but her imaged completely changed how she looked when she opened the door and met with the Host Club. Breaking a vase worth millions of yen, she has to pay back the money she owes by dressing up as a guy and join the Host Club activities. All the Ouran Host Club members, though, do not know that Haruhi was a girl (since her gender in the rag-tag clothing gave her an image of a boy) and when Haruhi has a fight (well, not really a fight, Haruhi just got on top of her and it ended) with one of the customers and gets water spilled on her, they finally figure it out. Tamaki opens the changing curtains and finds that Haruhi was a girl...a girl who needed to pay off debts. So the Ouran High School Host Club lets Haruhi dress up as a boy to pay off her 8million yen debt.
The scene where Tamaki and Eclair are standing together with a light in the back and with multiple flashbacks is the scene where Tamaki says that he will abandon the Host Club and Japan altogether, have an arranged marriage with Eclair, and move to France to finally see his mother. The other members of the Host Club don't want Tamaki to leave and would do anything to bring him back.
This is where I utilized every character to bring about to the closing. Every character has a flashback of how Tamaki had unconsciously changed their lives and how each joined the Host Club. During the chase to reach Tamaki, the gang needs to catch up with them by car but soldiers blocked them from going anywhere. Hunny and Mori come to the rescue as they bring a horse carriage to help catch up with Tamaki and bring him back. Kyouya, Hunny, and Mori stay behind to take care of the soldiers while the twins, Kaoru and Hikaru, and Haruhi ride the carriage. But Hikaru (or at least I think it was Hikaru) made the carriage go to fast, hit a bump, flew off the carriage, and broke his arm. Kaoru goes to help his brother and now it is up to Haruhi to bring back Tamaki.
After reminiscing of a time where she stumbled upon Eclair and Tamaki in a room, Haruhi takes off her costume and races off to get Tamaki! She actually catches up with him on a bridge and lets go of a reign and brings her hand to hold Tamaki's hand and join her on the carriage and back to the Ouran High School Host Club. Tamaki, willing to go after Haruhi's wise words, attempts to reach for Haruhi but Eclair stops him long enough for the horses that carried the carriage and Haruhi to stumble and Haruhi is sent flying out into the sea, leaving Tamaki, leaving her friend, leaving her love. Eclair, seeing the evil in her actions, lets Tamaki go and he jumps to Haruhi which resembles the struggle of friendship and the measures it takes to save the people he cares about which, in this case isn't just Haruhi but the whole broken-hearted members of the host club as well.
The video ends with Haruhi and Tamaki both reminiscing about multiple flashbacks of times and places where they shared precious memories together. Realizing that he was to stay, Haruhi holds close to her love and falls to the ocean with him.
And that is basically what the music video is. It was a wonder to put it together and it actually took a longer time to finish it than I thought. Please comment your best regards to the video and I hope you like it!
