If you really think Danica is worthy of going to F1 then you've lost it. She isn't even worthy of driving in a back marker F1 team let alone for Ferrari. And besides, that would be so over her head, and driving skill it wouldn't even be funny. She wouldn't even be able to last a year in F1 let alone score points!

Unfortunately, I don't really know much about Danica. But without question Michele Mouton was one of the best rally drivers of her era (never mind gender). And in my opinion she contested during a period of rallying when it was at its most challenging for both car and driver Group B, F1 performing cars on changeable terrain.

I can't believe how some people cannot bring themselves to give credit where it's due. The only driver who wins by being "just lucky" is if the leader crashes on the final lap with the race in the bag. I've watched open-wheel racing for 30+ yrs & I've seen lots of drivers win w/o the fastest car. Drivers I've seen win on strategy include names like Foyt, Rutherford, Mears, Andretti, the Unsers, Rahal, Brayton, Kanaan & Castroneves, etc. Are you gonna dismiss THEM as "just lucky?" SOUR GRAPES!!!

Oh come on. If this girl is so good then why does she only have one win in nearly 3 years of competition? Shouldn't she have more than that if in fact she is as good as people play her out to be?
Face it, she's just a mediocre, sub par driver who is hyped up just because she happens to be a women. (OMG TITS IN RACING!) All she's good at is throwing childish temper tantrums whenever things don't go her way, how embarrassing.

No I do NOT know she'd be out of a ride "if she were a he," & neither do you! Many drivers go yrs between victories. With the merger, some droughts will last even longer. I never claimed she's a HOFer, but merely suggested "fans" like you give her the same credit other drivers like Helio & Kanaan, & owners like Andretti (her boss), Rahal (ex-boss) & Penske do. I bet they know talent when they see it, & they've all said she has it. That's more than good enough for me. Should be for you, too!!!

The only talent she has is generating ad revenue! If it weren't for the fact she's worth so much, she'd have no ride. If I were a car owner I'd have gotten rid of her by now. She makes bone head moves all the time, not to mention she has the mind set of a 12 year old. All she does is stomp her feet and pound her steering wheel when shit doesn't go her way. She hasn't accomplished anything note worthy. Let's see her win a championship, then perhaps I'll respect her, until then I won't.

It seems to me you are under the influence of prejudice.
You see, F1 is more difficult than Indy and great racers there take a little longer to win or be on second or third place.
I guess Danica has talent, but more than that she has courage to face stupid opinions like yours. No, I'm not saying that you can't express your opinion, but I suggest you next time, you take a sit on that car and drive... oh and don't forget to win the championship in your first year, obrigada!!

Oh come on. There are plenty of shit drivers in F1 as well. Don't get me wrong it's my favorite form of motor sport but still, there are back markers in every series, and the cream ALWAYS rises. For instance look at Lewis Hamilton, he nearly won an F1 championship in his first year, so it is possible.
If Danica is so great, you'd think that she'd at least be a contender for the title in Indy, but she's yet to even do that. She's a fucking joke, that's all there is to it.

If you believe in this, ok... it's your right and I respect it. I just can't agree that you can't give her a little credit just because she's not a contender for the title.
I guess she needs time just like any other racer.
Oh, and yeah... F1 has loads of 'jokes', including some brazilians, even though we had a few great races as well.

I like her, I really do, but I can't see Danica in F1... never! As much as I believe she has talent, I believe she'd never handle the pressure... I'm quite sure of that.
I guess F1 is not 'fair' to those who come from Indy. Michael Andretti is a good example. The best one I've ever seen was Montoya... sadly he's not there anymore.

Regardless, Lewis Hamilton still has more talent in his pinky finger than Danica has altogether. Either way, he'll be winning lots of races, and a few titles in the next few years, it will more than make up for his rookie mistakes that cost him the title.

You're stuck on extremes. No one is saying she's GREAT, yet. We're just agreeing with the experts like Penske, Andretti, & Rahal, etc. who say that she has talent. Is she over-hyped sometimes? YES! But that doesn't take away from the fact that she does have talent. In fact, I believe she's finished in the Top 10 in points every year she's competed. With the millions it takes to run a race car for a full season, I doubt Andretti would hire her if he didn't believe in her talent.

Clearly one of the best moments of 2008 for me. I've always believed in Danica Patrick. My heart rate increases when she's leading or in a fight for the lead. Led before, but never won until that fateful weekend in Japan. My heart was going crazy when I saw Danica lead this race. Danica Patrick finally comes home to Victory Lane, and I couldn't be any more happier for this exceptional young lady. I never stopped believing in her and never will for as long as I live. Great win.
