Sailors in the British Navy (who were not only English anyway) used to eat lime so they didn't catch scurvy. So really the USA should be mocked for not having citrus fruit on board.

That said French has a nice accent, I like to hear English spoken in French...
You say I shouldn't categories "Americans" (which I didn't I categorised folk from the US not the Americas) and yet you categories Englishfolk ("limies" as you call them). I did such because you are a USians and make your country men look zenaphobic. As for the history of the term, I mentioned that as it was started as nick-name by the USians...who have a long history of Anglophobia.
I have a Grandfather from the USA so I don't hate all USians.
