I hate to say it but I have to admit the thoracic defecation thing is pretty funny. Funny everybody said Michael McDonald, my girlfriend & I listened to this a few weeks ago and she noticed that. I think he did astrally project. I think Michael McDonald was really the ghost of every 70's soft-rocker (when they all died) & then came back through time to perform with them in that era in some endless temporal loop. Really, though, he is kind of an amalgam. This is a good song, by the way.

Music these days focuses way too much on appearances, and not enough about the music itself. These guys had it right, They sing whatever makes them feel comfortably, even if it may look silly. I hope the next decade is rap-free.

1979-1981 was the "golden age" of Christopher Cross. Who can forget "Sailing" and "Arthur's Theme: The Best That You Can Do?" Of course, "Think of Laura" and "Never Be the same" came later, but "Ride Like the Wind, "Sailing" and "Arthur's Theme: The Best That You Can Do" represent the Christopher Cross "canon."

Being in my 40s, I grew up adoring Christopher Cross. I'm finding myself you-tubing his songs after a much more contemporary artist just reminds me of him. I think most of you will agree that John Ondrasik of Five for Fighting sounds creepily like CC. Same style of songs too. Same angst and longing in their lyrics.
