That's ridiculous logic. It's like saying take away a rhino's weight, strength and horns and it's not that effective. As humans we have intelligence and the ability to wield tools; meaning we're top of the food chain. Gladiators and primitive hunters took down all forms of large game using basic weaponry. Just because modern man has gone soft and relies on guns, doesn't mean man always has. So yes, we CAN really say we're supreme, cause we are.

Well duh. Although the Massai of Africa have no problems killing lions one on one using nothing but spears and machetes. I also remember reading of a guy recently who killed a lion using his bare hands....only then to be killed by a pack of opportunistic hyenas.
