No, the presents don't fell of the Caga Tio, they're covered with the blanket, so the kids believe that the Caga (shit, the acction) Tió is, literally, shitting the sweets.

I just want to say that the Piñata is a mexican tradition. And for your future knowledge, Mexico is not southamerica, is north america. Look for it on the map. And because of the conquest, Spain and latin America have a lot in common, more than what you might think.
