I don't believe that sex itself is all that serious. The current culture imposes a seriousness upon it. If it's guilt-free and mutually assented to, then it's an enjoyable and natural experience. On the other hand, reproduction IS serious due to its long-term consequences. Since contraceptives are readily available, then as long as people are responsible in using them, then I don't see any problem whatsoever in the 'virgin' (or otherwise) arena.

I made my choice to wait till I was 22 to lose my virginity and 16 for my first kiss. Due to I knew it all had to be with someone I loved and cared for. Now, 26 years old, looking back, best decision. My fiance was the one, he was my first kiss and first time.

I was 27 the first time I had sex, with the now ex-wife. Thing was, I was always nervous around the opposite sex, and said I'd wait until THEY brought up the subject of sex before I'd try anything further than a kiss. The now ex-wife was the first to "start" something, when I was 27. Now back in the "old routine", no dates or sex since the divorce (except one evening) since 1997. Already have my own birth control... vasectomy in 1995.

I've really appreciated this video. I'm 18, and a virgin, but these days it feels like I'm just way too old to be a virgin. I see so many of my peers losing their virginity at 14, 15, 16 years old. I needed this video to reassure myself that 18 is still VERY young and I've got a long life ahead. Thanks for your videos. :)

Definitely. Don't look to anyone else to tell you when the right time is. Look inside yourself. You will know.... a peace will come to you and you will know it's the right time, place and person. It all comes together eventually. It's when we try to force that, that regrets are made, I think.

i'm not sure if i agree with that. I was 14 when i had my first real boyfriend, I thought it was the REAL thing. We were both virgins. Here in sweden it is not legal to have sex with someone under the age of 15.

I thought it was the right time, place and person... but it turned out it wasn't. The person I am today regrets that i slept with him, but the person i was four years ago don't.
Maybe i did force myself. Hmm.. of course, i only regretted it later, when he wasn't my boyfriend .. so. i found my solution :D

I think it's important to note that I have respect regardless of one's choices,... I respect people who think through their actions. If that means not waiting, okay. If it means waiting till you're simply older, okay. If it means waiting until you're married, okay. I just hope people can be true to themselves and their unique realities, and that they can spend plenty of time thinking things through.

There's nothing wrong with virginity. I'm 27. I'm a virgin. I'd like to find a soul mate someday, and I hope the sex will be good. But to have sex just to prove a point is just plain stupid, in my opinion. Being no longer religious I also don't think sex before marriage is inherently sinful, but that doesn't mean I'm immediately going to go out and do it!

there are those who wait for a purpose (which is rare these days, and up to one's individual decision) and those who are involuntarily virgins but say they are because of a 'higher purpose'.
the latter are missing out i'm afraid. casual sex can be a great or terrible experience, and I think people should decide for themselves.
and even though i'm not religious I can see how voluntary celibacy can be helpful. be nice to your body and mind, and they'll be nice to you.

im only 13 but i have already made a prominse to myself and God ( im a christian ) to not have sex until i am married- no ifs ands or buts about it i have talked to many people read many books and thought a lot about it and i know that i am mature enough and down-to-earth enough to make that decision at such a young age but thank you for your opinion and in some cases encouraging
