Interfaces, functions, usability of the Lg Prada are unremarkable. This is more evident since Instinct (and all other smartphone makers) picked the iPhone to complete against and not Lg Prada. Instinct does have a few things iPhone lacks. But the growing list of iPhone features will unlikely be matched on the Instinct. While most Instinct features the iPhone lacks can be added in future sw updates, neither Lg or Samsung has the sw foundation to do the same to match iPhone features.

My ONLY point about the Prada was that Lg has already talked about a lawsuit against Apple because Apple did indeed copy the touch screen idea from Lg and even some owners of the iphone have already admitted this. I was in no way comparing the two phones. phones like the Instinct due more then just match the iphone they beat it because the iphone has many issues with it like having 3g speeds ONLY 25 percent of the time and having issues making something called a simple phone call.

The iphone is still the first and ONLY phone that lacks something called a user replacement battery and what about voice gps thats right the iphone lacks this as well. The iphone still has a long ways to go before it will do what it really should have done in the first place. Its also real funny that the ONLY people who say that all of these issues are no big deal just so happen to be owners of the ijunk. Lets see Apple come up with a phone that is 100 percent there idea to begin with.

Copying is the norm in technologies. Nothing is wrong with it. Did Lg invented touch screen? They copied it from previous products. One could argue Apple had the Newton in the 90s with touch screen - fingers worked on it. But that's not important. What's important is whether it's just an imitation or an improvement over existing tech. Every human invention has some degree of copying. Watch a documentary called 'Connections' and you'll see this throughout history. Did Lg have a patent?

Replaceable battery doesn't seem to be an issue to discourage users from buying it. iPhone sold more than all of the models of BlackBerry's combined last quarter at 6.9 million.
The fundamental difference: iPhone is a computing platform for handheld communication. Instinct is just a smart phone. This "ijunk" is causing paradigm shift in the industry even with fixed battery, no cut/paste, no Flash, no MMS, no video record, etc.
What would you say the iPhone should be doing in the first place?

What the iphone should be doing in the first place is not having issues making something called a simple phone call and being able to have 3g speeds 100 percent of the time not just 25 percent of the time because it has already been reported by iphone users that these are issues that they are having. The battery replacement issue is indeed a issue because when it comes time to replace the battery on the ijunk you have to send it in to Apple because there is no way for the phone user to do this.

Remember that even some owners of the iphone have admitted that Apple did copy the touch screen idea from Lg and its true they did. It is very important because when a company like Apple copies someone else's idea that tells me that Apple can't come up with there own ideas. I want to be able to make phone calls and have 3g speeds 100 percent of the time not just 25 percent of the time amd yet people still say the iphone is the best and I say best for what? drop calls.

I don't see failure with simple phone calls reported widely on the web. My own experience is good. What's the problem?
No carrier can guarantee 100% 3G speed because 3G still has limited coverage. It really depends on where you are. This is a wireless network issue with all carriers. All 3G devices are at mercy of this.
After 17 months, I can still get about 5-6 hours of web surfing out of the original iPhone. I've recharged over 400 times. Battery is still reliable.

Lg Prada was announced only about 1 month ahead of iPhone on 12/15/06. iPhone was announced at MacWorld in Jan 07. What we've witnessed was the iPhone 1.0 demoed in full at MacWorld in Jan 07. The iPhone hardware demoed was practically final form. Do you believe Apple only scrambled after Lg's Prada announcement on 12/15/06 to copy it and have a working iPhone merely 1 month later?

Lg has talked about a lawsuit against Apple and like I have already said even some iphone owners have admitted this. A company as good as Lg is not going to make something like this up. The iphone is a copy of the Prada thats right they copied the touch screen idea from Lg. Other phones like the samsung Instinct,HTC touch,Lg Dare,Lg Voyager,HTC Tilt,blackberry storm,HTC Diamond are all beeter vs the iphone and unlike the iphone they are not a copy and they where there own idea to begin with.

Your own experience is the exception and not the rule my friend as still to this very day Apple is still trying to work out all the bugs with the iphone so I ask you how many software updates does a phone need for it to work right?.
My phone has 3g service 100 percent of the time and as you know I don't own the iphone.
All phone batterys will need to be replaced at some point and yes iphone owners this does include you and at some point you will need to replace your battery trust me on this.

Let me get this straight. You claim Lg is original with touch screen phone and iPhone copied. Then you claim Samsung and others' touch screen phones are not copies of Lg even though they are released after iPhone and Lg. That doesn't make sense.
Lg has been thinking of suing for almost 2 years. What are they waiting for?

Do you have data to claim my experience is an exception to 10 million other iPhone users? The market place would not respond well to a phone that cannot make good phone calls. It's a better indicator than you or I. JD Powers recently ranked iPhone #1 in customer satisfaction. iPhone surpassed Razr as best selling cell phone. Battery, updates and bugs are not significant problems. iPhone is doing well and its competitors are copying it instead.

All the information I have is from iphone users that have reported all kinds of bugs with the iphone like the fact that when the new 3g iphone came out it had a record number of returns due to the fact that many of them where not working at all and for a company like Apple to not know something like this was going to happen tells me that maybe they should have done a better job at making there phones in the first place.

What is this record number of returns? 6.9 million iPhones sold in 3 months with more than 10 million total units in the market doesn't correlate well with your claims. As with any device that's a game changer, it will not be perfect at first. The fact remains, iPhone has gained significantly in a market analysts and industry veterans claimed Apple had no chance to succeed in. Reality had debunked them and your claims. It's not for everyone but it sure inspired a lot of imitators.

When the 3g iphone came out it was reported all over the news and internet that the new iphone was reported by both owners and people who work for Apple that the new iphone had a major issue of being able to work at all thats rigt people where standing in line waiting to ask why they could not even turn there phone on just to make a simple phone call. Your right when ever a new phone comes out it will not be perfect at first but phones like the storm can still make phone calls.

You probably don't know why people buy it or that those issues were addressed months ago. Apple does not put a gun to people's heads to buy the iPhone. Even with all reported problems, it's still selling very well. What you're repeating here is old news. No one buying an iPhone cares anymore. With all the problems of iPhone 3G in the beginning, people still wanted it - 6.9 million from Jul to Sept. BTW - The Storm is a perfect example of iPhone imitator. They must want iPhone's success.

Its not old news that the most recent software update on the iphone is reported to have more drop calls vs the first update and this was reported by iphone users and no claim on my part so once again I ask you how many updates does the iphone need for it to work right? you see this is why I hate the iphone as much as I do people say its so great but its really not and other touch screen phones like the Storm are far superior to the iphone.
