Big Business gets the way it is because it is in bed with Big Government. Enron was a CIA op, do your research! In free, open markets where the government keeps it's dirty little hands off, competition drives down prices and improves quality of the products and services. Look at the electronics industry!

No I understand and agree with what you are saying. However a totally unregulated world where these animals can do whatever they please would be just as bad, possibly worse. If people would start caring and get involved in the one thing they can control (their government..especially locally) then we wouldn't have this mess.

You're right...we asked for more government control at the federal level and all we got was corruption and collusion at the expense of the consumer and taxpayer. With the formation of consumer watch dogs and unions, those "animals" have their power put in check. Right now, thanks to the partnership between Big Biz and Big Gov, their power is unchecked. After all, politicians like rich people supporting their campaigns! :D

First off Ron Paul has never said anything relating to your rhetoric. What Ron Paul has said is federal government has no business in regulating certain laws. He said " Let the states decide not the federal government" Like abortion for example his words were " Let states decide on abortion and Gay marriage. Not the federal government". What a blessing it was to black people when civil rights were left to the states.
It's like this. Anything that must operate as a monopoly should be kept in the publiuc, rather than private domain, especially something like water. Electricity should be a publicly-owned utility as well, since it either uses a common resource, like the rivers, or produces pollution, which the entrepreneurs are rarely keen to control unless forced. Don't give industry the power to dehydrate us.
