I see your point, but I don't see the correlation. I look at politics and science in a different light. I also don't think Bush did anything based on what Tenet reported. It was all set up way before by others regardless of any dubious intelligence, you probably already know that anyway.

I don't think you are being entirely honest with yourself. The head of The CIA should have a greater responsibility to truthfulness than a famous scientist. Furthermore, The President of The United States should have more integrity than The Nobel Prize Committee. So, if you can't trust the former, then it shouldn't be unthinkable that the latter might be lying too.

I agree they should be more truthful and have more responsibility to do so than a scientist. I wish that was the case. But a scientist doesn't have the same motives of a president or head of the CIA. If you look back at history, more politicians have lied than scientists. Still, I don't see how you come up with Kaku being a con man. You don't have to agree with his theories, provided you actually know something about physics, but a "con man"?

Until you take them off the pedestal you have them on (you are not unique in that regard) you cannot be objective.

You speak of objectivity, yet you label Kaku a con man after reading just one article. You had never heard of him, but you are comfortable enough to assess he is a con man after a few seconds. If you are willing to question scientists, if you have taken them off the pedestal, then you can apply the same standards to them, that you apply to everyone else (i.e. politicians). You implied I couldn't question him w/out PHD in Physics and Mass Approval from "Scientific Community!"
I see his bio; he doesn't hide his premises. I know those premises are bogus. So, I know his work and this thinking are bogus. This is logical!

I was talking to somebody else about this recently. It seems so easy for people to believe that their President has lied to them, but they can't fathom that a scientist would, particularly one who got a prize/award for their science and lots of approval from other scientists.
I think Zundel got it in Canada for being a "terrorist" and in Germany for "anti-Semitism." Naturally, both terms have been rendered meaningless. (the trashing of the English language)

No, what I'm trying to get across is that there's only a few to this day that truly undertand Einsteins theories (none of which say it's crap) and if you're going to say it's crap, then I think you should at least have some understanding of the theories to make that assumption. In order to truly have a decent understanding, you really need a phd in physics. Otherwise, anyone can dismiss just about anything with words. And I still don't think you can read Kaku's bio and pass a quick judgement.
