Republican Presidential candidate and Texas Congressman Ron Paul visits James Kotecki's dorm room to discuss his views on foreign policy, the Constitution, and the impact of the internet on his Presidential campaign.

That was the dumbest statement I've ever heard before, seriously... I'm not even joking. But do you know who is going to destroy the middle class? Obama. Since the federal reserve was established, it has systematically destroyed the dollar. Turning our money system back to gold will help our economy because it won't give the federal reserve a chance to 'print it money out of nowhere', and cause massive inflation. The federal reserve can be abolished, the income tax can be abolished, without returning to the gold standard, without obliterating half the federal gov't, (And have you ever heard Ron Paul talk about drugs!!?), and without the massive sweeping changes in laws about drugs! We spend more than half of our budget on our military - we could easily cut 30-40% of that, medicare has been a failure (we should cut spending on that in the future), the dept. of education has been an even bigger failure, there's actually a lot of 'obliterating' to do.

As ideal as it sounds, returning to gold won't work because there isn't enough in the world. Also, it is a commodity, which means that the value of it changes with demand for it. I love Ron Paul, but this is the only policy of his I don't agree with because of it's idealism.

He doesn't stand for legalizing marijuana. He stands for giving states the right to decide for themselves whether it should be legalized or not, which gives more authority to citizens on the local level. This is Ron Paul's stance on most issues - get the federal gov't out of areas of our lives that it has no place in deciding.
