beautifully sung and wonderfully written. This pair of singer-song writer has made a long lasting impression on Vietnamese songs. I like other song writers as well such as Ngo Thuy Mien..etc but Trinh Cong Son's always has a special place in my heart...

When I was in Pulau Bidong in the early 80s, the camp administration used to play this song when people are leaving camp for Kuala Lumpur or Sungei Besey (spelling?) and another camp for those who choose Canada. Those who left camp in the Black Gold may not have experienced this event.
