I think the Disco Dan upload sums up all I've learned to date. If it makes your head bob, then I've done my job...

Ha ha. I had to blow the dust off of Road to Return to hear it. Worked out the main section (vocals are reasonable too). I had to tune a half-step down though, to be at the CD's pitch.

Thanks. I know where the mess-ups are, and i've changed some of the phrasing subsequently to bring out some of the individual notes. Maybe I'll repost it.

Dude that was awesome!!
My only suggestion is don't let the bass notes overpower the high notes. They are what Michael loved to make ring through the whole venue. Play them loudly

Dude, I'm glad you liked the performance.
Your comparison to Michael's sound is curious since his live tone was processed and EQ'd up to ying yang. Not to mention a Larrivee D-09 and Martin D-29 are sonically different beasts.

Excellent MH cover! We have very similar tastes in music. That one looks a lot of fun to play. Did transcribe it yourself? How do you like that Larrivée? Thanks for the vid. Keep 'em coming! -Derek
Hi Derek. The ... ( 8 months ago by saffronboots)
Hi Derek. The Larrivée's great - almost 20 years old and still kicking. I believe I started with a transcription from the defunct Rootwitch site but I've made some personal changes to it to suit my "style". I'll be rebooting this video soon enough.

I just 'discovered' this song by MH and all I can say is you play it very well.
Playing a song like this is only 50% of the job, the other 50% is to capture THAT sound/groove which makes it very special. You did that!
nice playing. ( 1 month ago by pyrioni)
