Miserere Mei Deus - Kings College Chapel Choir
Uploaded by: notyobs
Video Description:
Allegri's setting of Psalm 51. Introduced by Barry Rose, from a 1987 programme which includes Barry Rose talking to the Choir's director, Stephen Cleobury about how he trains his choristers (that will follow seperately).
I have had to edit out one verse I'm afraid to make it fit on Youtube. I took out one where the cameras spent most time gazing at the stained glass windows.

Imagine what it must sound like when Hazrat Daud (AS) himself sung it and the hills and trees sung it as well. (David had the best voice amongst all humans)
Imagine what Hazrat Israfeel (AS) must sound like. His is the best voice amongst angels.
Anyways for those of you who understand it. Check the Quran out.
It is neither their meat nor their blood that reaches Allaah, but it is piety from you that reaches Him." [Al-Hajj (22):37]

It is amazing how this piece, over 370 years old, still touches the hearts of those who hear it. I wish ALL people would just take the time to just LISTEN to music like this - maybe people would be more kind and understanding of one another - the world would be a much better place.
Requiem - Faure / Of the Father's Heart Begotten - Anon / Requiem - Frank Martin /
