Most good guitars are made from Spuce tops. The sides can be other hard woods, but definatly spuce tops and backs.

Not quite man... Guitars of all qualities are made with cedar or spruce tops. And the sides and back are rosewood (indian or brazilian)

That's definitely cedar. Most classical guitars don't use any kind of stain on the wood, but use a clear polyurethane or tung oil. Spruce would be a much lighter color.

guitarclass is right, lots of beautiful guitars have cedar tops. The only problem with cedar is finding a good piece to work with, because cedar is a very knotty wood, you can really only use the inner most core of the tree to cut from.

I was looking online for classical guitar teachers and lo and behold Edward Grigassy shows up on the google results!! He teaches just south of where i am!! lol i thought that was very interesting. Think I should call him up for lessons?? That's a serious question by the way!

You idiot if you had read some of the other comments you will see this man is a teacher, which would obviously mean this video is a more educational video. Hence the slower tempo and the absence of the correct tone and mood of the piece, which I'm preety sure the rest of noticed without stating how professional we were and calling this man a "fiend".

I really like how this is played. When people try to put too much "mood" into their playing it sounds to me like they can't quite decide on a tempo.
