I really wish I knew what kind of bass that is Simon's playing. I've gotten pretty enamored with the sound hollowbodies and semi-hollows give, but not many basses are made that way. Besides, that thing's as gorgeous to look at as it is to hear :D

to all those who want to know simon's bass- it is (or should be) a Gretsch Tennessee bass. nowadays in concert, he uses gibson thunderbird, but was his main bass on use during late 80's-early 2001-02. Very hard to get one now but Tennessee's look and sound great. Try you local major music store for one

Yep its a Gretch Tennessee, with of course Simons mastery of Boss Effect Pedals used heavily here, ie. (Distortion, OverDrive, and other effects) Simply awesome.
