Got an 07 R32 a few months back.
Can't praise it enough.
Every morning/evening getting in and hearing that soundtrack is all you need. I've forgotten about the price of fuel when I fill up.

I think the R32 is slightly faster than the GTI. That heavier engine and all wheel drive put on the pounds and mostly offset the power gain. You will get a much nicer exhaust note with the R32 though. I personally prefer the R32, but that's just me.

I mean how dull is this R32, look at the interior, its duller than lift music or driving on the M25.
A leon cupra or S3 is a waaay better choice.

Stupid maybe not; dull, certainly no. I have this car and drives like a well placed missile. Makes me smile every time I drive it, even to the local shops. Isn't that what everybody wants from a car?

Im glad you enjoy your car. yes a car should put a smile on your face all the time, one of the key components of designing a good car....is it a laugh?

Great looking front end! Boring? Just look at the stupid American front ends and how ridiculous they are. The golf has great lines, proportions, and looks super tight. Some design elements are subtle, but look closer and see the quality in fit and finish! Americans cars look clumsy and dated and have such big gaps in the panels. VW's, Audis, BMW's all look refined and elegant...like a super model. American cars are so white trash and cheesy!

I own a 2006 BMW 330XI and admit this is the best overall car I have owned. I saw the new Camaro at the Frankfurt show in 2007 and it is elegant, refined, and a powerful force to be reckoned with. I cannot wait to fly in one on A8 (Autobahn) and take out the best Europe has to offer for less than 40K. PS - Super models are boney crack heads and "White trash" does extend across the Atlantic ;-) Back on subject, I was actually impressed with my friends 04 tuned out R32.
