Yea that is a good head. You will definitely hear a difference in sound. After I bought my new PRS I had to get a new half stack instead of my old solid state combo so I could get the most out of my guitars sound.

When I put my tone knob on zero the guitar sounds "scratchy". I am using a Monster Pro Link cable which is only $20. Is the "scratchy" sound from my cable or is it from my amp(Line 6 Spider III 15 watt)?

Line 6 has great quality amps, and using a cheap cable MAY cause it to be vunerable to corrosion. if that is the case, then it will bind the flow of electrons from one destination to the other. look for a better cable. in fact, i use a cable that is only $15 and it is really good, plus it comes with a lifetime warranty...and if they come out with a new model, they will give you the new model instead of the one you already have, its called Live Wire Advantage, and i got it at my Guitar Center....

this is for ne1 who is looking in2 buying a monster cable. The cheapest ones {s100s}are the best buy, very low noise and can last forever u get a lifetime warranty go with it newayz. the second most pricest {P-500} suck the shielding is rubber and is very vunerable to shorts. Ive gone through 3 already and have all shorted out in the same spot right next 2 the rubber sheilding. Ive tried the most expensive ones {Rock} and I cant notice to much of a difference. I cant say 2 much about em though

one, 'cordless cables' dont exist. its either a cable, or a wireless signa.

it all depends on ... ( 3 weeks ago by guitarrhythymfool)
it all depends on the band. when i saw korn, they used wireless, and same thing with apocalyptica, STP, paramore, shit like that. i saw jimmy eat world, seen BB King twice, stanley jordan, they all used regular cable systems. the main reason bands will use a wireless system is because either staqe antics (angus young), or extremely large stage setups (korn). but no matter what way u look at it, it still robs you of some of your tone. some people dont mind, but many do.
