he's a genius, watch any of thier live material. hes completely amazing. and im not trying to be biased here, because im a guitar player really into petrucci, but jordan rudess puts a lot of emotion into his playing i think. so i agree with you there.

He lacked in a lot of things, i don't think he had creativity, nor feeling or technique! What, you wanna blame jordan to have studied jazz and classic music, which is full of feeling and technicality at the same time?

ok, everyone who decides that rudess isnt the best edition of the keys with DT is retarted. He has feeling and emotion, he is technical cuz he can and thats what prog music is anyways, and he simply makes every song that kevin or derek ever wrote 10 times better than they ever were when they play them live.

Woah, hang on a second. Rudess is a seriously sick player, probably the leader of rock keyboards today. But to say he makes some of Moore's material ten times better? Man, I have to say that even though he's my favourite player, I don't like what he does to 'Wait for sleep', 'Learning to live' or sometimes 'Take the time'. They were three of the best keyboard solos of all time; he doesn't need to embellish them as much as he does.

Though I think he has a tendency to ruin songs.. what is the deal with that interlude in Endless Sacrifice? Not to mention in live at Budokan he ruins the momentum from John and Mike's back and forth solo on Beyond this Life. Just my opinion.
