They probably got him BECAUSE his car broke down, although some claimed he got away and his father saw the video and turned him in.
As for a BMW M3 being supercharged, it wouldn't be unless it had a special kit. That either means the true owner had such a kit installed, or the announcer didn't mean it was literally supercharged.

Hope you guys realize that this was proven to be a fake. Not the car chase, but the whole bit about the car breaking down. He actually got away, but his father forced him to turn himself in. The teenager didn't make a move with his shoulders. What actually happened was the Camaro's brakes locked up and he spun out of control.
Also the E30 M3 isn't supercharged, a supercharged one would have over 400 BHP. I would know because mine is.

2:05 - 2:10 when the kid stops for the road block is the same as 3:42 - 3:50 when the kid "breaks down." I compared 2:08 to 3:43 and the pictures look identical, same exact signs on both sides of the road. They just use some careful editing, why would the kid slam on his breaks if the car "broke down" anyway? It's widely known that his kid actually got away, the cops show is just so biased towards the cops, I guess they should, but still I rather hear the truth.

The kid got away from the car chase but they got his license plate, so they just went to his house and got him, he probably broke something on the car later so Fox thinks they can spin the truth, fact is 15 year beat 5 Cops with souped up corvette engines.
