The fight went nothing like this in the Iliad. The movie makes Hector out to be much more of a hero than he was. Although I too agree that hector is portrayed as a great person in the movie and makes you like him better than Achilles, in the Iliad Achilles chased him around the walls of Troy three times before they fought.
