You are wrong. The current pakistan is the birth place of indus valley civilization which was predominantly hindus and later buddhists (upto Afghantistan where you find buddhist scriptures and statues being destroyed by talibani muslims)

no. islam was "founded" around 650 AD and first came to India in the 9th century. the mughal period was from around 14th century onwards. akbar the greatest mughal met Guru Amar Das.
yes current pakistan is where the indus valley civilisation thrived. no it was not muslims who drove them out, there is no agreement on this but the evidence suggests it was the aryan invaders from persia who hailed from the caucases. this was some 3000 years ago. yes buddhism spread into afghan.

the reason so many hindus converted to islam was that islam did not consign them untouchable status. a very large proportion of muslim converts were and continue to be low caste and dark. go to delhi, hydrabad, agra, you will see. sure, many muslims were from persia, turkey etc but you cannot ignore mass conversions, these are numerically v significant. a large number of northern indians have outside blood ie the aryan invaders, the scythians, the huns, etc. the debate about dna is pointless.
