Please tell us who you know that was ever a slave or ever owned a slave? The people who needed to apologize for their inexcusable immoral acts against man kind as well as those that were enslaved are long gone. Why must I apologize for something I never did? And why do you deserve an apology my friend? You never suffered the way an American slave did, so asking for the forgiveness they deserve just cheapens everything that happened to them.

I thought slavery in other countries was due to crime. Most people sold of Asia, Whites, and Africans sold or enslaved their criminals or captured POWs, unlike the US that enslaved us for GREED. Don't forget that we weren't only labor slaves, but the master's personal sex slave to.
Africans sold their criminals and POW people to whites. Do you buy everything that is for sell. I have morals and would never buy and mistreat another HUMAN BEING.

Not all slaves in America were from Africa, my ancestors were bond slaves from Ireland. They came to America on death ships, not slave ships. Only 5% of the slave trade was in North America, 95% was in the Caribbean where they were worked to death. The South proliferated their slaves, they were part of the family. Southerners are black and white, we have been intertwined for 400yrs

deatha44, The average Southern didn't own slaves. The rough estimate is between 5% and 6%, The South fought for Independence from the Union. The federals refuse to use the Constitution, the same problems we have today. States are Sovereign Nations that joined a federation, not a nation. The European Union is a perfect example.
We can't change the past, we the people have to insist that our government use the Constitution or there will be another rebellion. Nafta sold out the American worker.
