What kind of a man does it take to preach nonviolent resistance against the crushing inhumanity of the Jim Crow era while fully knowing of his impending death?
That the answer is a very imperfect and complex one gives hope to us all. MLK would not be nearly admirable to be if he really were the saint he is commonly made out to be; I myself prefer a hero who has within him some of the foibles against which he fights.

There is no excuse for racism. The fact that other people here are saying that since black people got rights crime has gone up is outrageous. So every black person is a criminal? Fuck off. The crimes commited against black people at the time, like Stozman was saying before, weren't even considered to be crimes.
