I do remember a bank commercial using vaguely Spitting Image-like puppets, though they weren't officially "Spitting Image" ones. The only ad I know of which featured actual Spitting Image puppets was the Carlsburg lager commercial, which had the "Euro-vulsion Song Contest: searching for the worst song in Europe" (which Britan wins, of course, with "the Chicken Song"...)

I don't think I understood the concept of racism when I was five, but I remember in all honesty thinking that there was something shocking about this song when I owned the single.
