Slapping is neat and all but it's not the definition of a great bassist. Dudes like Wooten, Les, and Flea are great and all but people get too caught up in slapping. Myung is fucking awesome so are those other guys. It's all just different styles. I know dudes that are great at slapping but can't pick with their fingers for crap.

Yeah, you really can't say who out of all of them is the better bassist, it's all down to style and personal taste when it comes to all of them. Myung is just really unique as all of DT is. Flea is a psychotic bastard (in a good way) who can do everything very well. Les Claypool is a beast at the weird-sounding stuff that he does, lots of slapping. Victor Wooten is great at freaking everything, apart from harmonics. Jeff Berlin is pretty good too. Good harmonics. (But he can be really arrogant)
