Voldemort is more powerful in magic, but he is a fool. Dumbledore is so much wiser, and that is what makes him more powerful than Voldemort.
I think Dumbledore is shown poorly in the films compared to the books. In the books, Dumbledore is always calm, even if he would know he was going to die in 5 min... In the film, he is often in awe of Voldemort's magical actions, which he never is in the books.

Yeah during the duel in the book dumbledore was more concerned with the conversation he was having with voldemort rather than the duel.Yes Voldemort is more powerful magic wise dumbledore himself says that "Voldemort has delved into magic that I would never touch". There are times when Dumbledore panics and it is normally when the safety of his students is at risk.

Hm, in real dumbeldore should own voldemort hard. Almost with no trouble. And he never had te protect himself with an magical shield. It was voldemort who had to protect his ass with an shield. I don't get why the moviemakers make dumbledore look patheatic here.

let me get this straight, who's better; dumbledore or voldemort? i mean it is said that voldemort was the greatest wizard ever. dumbledore could not overcome him even using the elder wand... and yet dumbledore won the duel between himself and grizenwald who is second in thelist of dark wizards only to voldemort... dumbledore beat the 'unbeatable wand... voldemort couldn't beat the wand in dumbledore's hands?who is the greatest of these two?

i think this is an awesome fight scene. I hope they spruce up the last fight in book 7. JKR is a great writer, don't get me wrong, but I think she could have done so much more in the last fight.

Dumbledore is more powerfull, but he cant kill Voldemort because Harry is a horcrux (meaning he has a peice of voldemorts soul inside him)
so Dumbledore has to come up with a plan that will destroy voldemort but keep harry alive ;P
