i don't know who this singer is or who is rimi.but when i saw both of their mvs for this song,RiMi SO KiCK HiTOMi ASS!! no offense to anyone who is her fan but she can not sing this song.. ;P i think she should stick to toehr songs shes' more good at.

Agreed, the snowboarding guy played it well. But this girl's stressing incorrectly and missing the emotional highs. As though she's trying to stop me from tearing.
Definitely Rimi's version, but Begin's is pretty good for what it is, and certainly better than this.

this song is nice, whoever covers it. ^_^ it's emotional value is unwavering and is still expressed no which way it's sung. I personally prefer Rimi's version over this one but its nice to say the least.

well it sounds like shit if you want to get bitchy about technicalities. it's jarring and it sounds like a 5 year screaming the song out in kindergarten. and pretentious people like you buy into the stuff about anything that sounds diff is supposed to be good. if there experts like you, no wonder what we call art these days are more form than substance. it's bad and she sings like she's on crack.

off key or the wrong tones, i think the msg is that it doesn't sound very nice. she's pretty alright, but for those who like this version. would you like a girl scream this at you instead of the natsukawa version? hey imaging watching the movie with THIS version of the song. Are you saying this because you like the original better? I just realized that this is a cover song. But anyway, I know what you mean by "pretentious ppl buy into the stuff about anything that sounds diff is supposed to be good" and I totally agree with you on that on certain music that are unmelodic and are simply...different. (eg avant garde) however, songs composed by Hitomi Yaida are actually quite enjoyable yet original at the same time imho.

I wish everyone would stop comparing this to Rimi's version and just accept this a different take on the song. I happen to like Yaida Hitomi a lot, and though I don't think her voice was made for songs like Nada Sousou, I still think she sounds perfectly fine. You're all boring people, and I bet you all dissed Macy Gray too initially.

Exactly. When you cover a song, you need to add your own style to it to make it worth listening. If you just sang it like the original then everyone might as well just listen to the original.
