Tom Petty Is really Great!!
I am going to see him this summer for the 2008 tour.
Tom petty is a great songwriter, and I give him alot of respect.
The only bad part about this show was that he was lip syncing, which gets me down a little :[ not sure about the music.. Though the music sounds exactly the same from the show the audio for this one was taken from but I think that the heartbreakers are good enough to recreate it perfectly!

hes not lip syncing and his bass playing is real as well. I dont know where you got that idea from but there has been rumors of it. And the only reason people are saying it is because of Pettys past with drugs.

I was one of those thousands of fans during the show. Tom Petty is a TRUE OLD SCHOOL CLASSIC ROCKER. When you look up cool in the dictonary, you see Tom Petty' face. ROCK ON!

Petty is great you say? Understatement! Took my 6 yr. old to see Tommy back in 83', it was my sons first concert. I had him up on my shoulders and while he was up there he kept yelling at people below us just before Tommy came on saying... "get ready for Petty, get ready Petty!

I Dont think hes lipsyncing but im a guitar player and have studied the Tom and The Heartbreakers stuff alot so I have to say that I cant figure this out.....The first song American Girl...They are tuned a half step down playing in D but it would actually be a C#.....for the second song I wont back Down Mike "lead guitarist" is in open G....he didnt switch guitars and theres no possible way to change tuning that drastic in just a few seconds......so I dont know
