Wow, the whole first page of comments is so depressing; Do any of you know what this song is about? The song is a rally cry for people to stop being tools of destruction. A leader is only as powerful as his men, we condemn Hitler and Cesar but what of the able minded ones who gave him such power? The song is an expression of how every person has a choice in making the world the way it is.

I prefer to see this song as saying that all soldiers are the same, no matter who they are fighting for. They are pawns of the leaders. I don't like to blame them completely.

Yeah, of course we should not blame them. That would be like getting angry at a stuffed string puppet. People by and large are extremely malleable and those who think we need to eliminate the soldiers become soldiers themselves..."He who fights too long against dragons becomes a dragon himself"-- Nietzsche. I do not understand. You asked how to stop the puppeteer, not how to take the puppet. Taking the puppet WILL stop the puppeteer. There are many ways of doing this- stealing, buying, trading etc etc.
But to take away soldiers from their commanders is much harder, and it's pointless :]
