It eases up over time. I can open my jaw all the way again now with very little pain if any. It just takes time. Try not to force it open as it only causes pain. It's frustrating as hell when you can't talk, but soon it'll just be a memory. Good luck and I hope you get better soon.

was like a torture chamber, what wiv all the tugging and twisting and blood! still bleeding now, and cant open jaw properly, brushing my teeth is nightmare! is this normal?lol. and it cost me 44 quid for the pleasure!

I was put knocked out for the surgery with anesthesia, when I came to after the surgery, I bolted out of the chair and made a bee line for the door and told my mom "I'm ready to go," and the nurses were chasing after me lol, when I got home I was irate as a mofo, that anesthesia can have some strong effects, also vicodin didn't do anything for me, so I ended up selling it off

I had mine pulled this afternoon. non-impacted, local...it wasn't so bad. The numbness was the worst part for me. I look like Marlon Brando in the Godfather1

i got mine out today. nothing compared to having kidney stones but still very uncomfortable. i have the cloths in to stop bleeding which are a pita & a ice pak on my cheek that i switch back & forth every 15 mins or so & change the clothe every 30 ins or so right now until bleeding stops. my lips are numb & im a bit sleepy. no pain yet & i just took some pain meds a couple mins ago. it was expensive to do that is what im most pee'd off about but what can ya do right? lifes a bitch =]

last friday I pulled 4 impacted + had an extra tooth growing that he removed also.
slept for a while after, loratab helped the pain, numb for a day and swollen for a while. I was scared before the operation, but it didnt hurt much.

I'm 32 and I am now regretting not getting them out at your age. The good thing for getting them out as a teenager is the roots haven't fully grown, so they can just more or less pop out. Good luck!

I'm 15 and I got all four taken out November 21st 2008 (week ago today). Really if I can do it anybody can. The surgery itself is nothing, but the recovery (starting like three hours later and progressively worsening) is absolutely hell!!!
