at 2.03 minutes... these are operators like in FM synthesis... you named the bottom 3 A B & C with D above B... if this is similar to FM synthesis as on the DX and TX line from Yamaha... that would mean the bottom ABC are Carriers and the D above B is a Modulator... thus it is D that is affecting B not B modulating D.

otherwise nice videos... do you have your microphone directly in front of your mouth when recording? There's a lot of distorted plosives that could be eliminated if you move the microphone to the tip of your chin... thus good sound pickup reduced plosives.

Thank you so much for making these tutorials. It's a shame Ableton doesn't provide simple instructions like these for using Operator, Sampler, etc for people like me who haven't the slightest idea of where to begin.

I think he means ... ( 5 months ago by DSCook)
I think he means that he likes to stack the basic waves in simpler in combination with the instrument rack, you know, sort of a combination of subtractive and additive synthesis, instead of the subtractive/ additive qualities of operator.
At least, i hope thats what he means, if its not, then shame on you simpleton. =P
Then Use Impulse, ... ( 2 weeks ago by akterminded)
Then Use Impulse, Not operator
