I like this but my favorite is the original by the Velvelettes. It's an interesting comparison. Consider listening to both. This is sultry while the Velvelettes rock and bring down the proverbial house. I think our preferences are often the performances we hear first and associate with context at the time. Couldn't agree with you more!!! Remakes are okay, but certainly it all depends in what kind of mood you are when you listen to it!!! In my case, I loved Cyndi Lauper's I Drove All Night and many people loved Celine Dion's!!!

Do you know what these women have in common: Pat Benetar, Madonna, Annie Lennox, Gloria Estefan? They were women that were smart enough and talented enough that they didn't need 1, 2 or more women to sing the same thing they're singing. Oh, and make 3x the amount of money.
