I think Sarah's emotion in this is a little off.
Her singing is superb (other than the breathing) but her facial expressions don't match the feeling of the words.
Again, my opinion. Correct me if I'm wrong?

I agree with you on that! Sarah is an AMAZING actress and singer and i respect her, but one thing that REALLY irritates me about her performances, is that when shes not singing it looks like she crosses her eyes and makes this stupid stare into nowhere and it looks weird. And she also makes chipmunk faces lol.

ya, her facial expressions are a little mechanic when she's singing words that don't really match them. And the constant vibrato gets a little unpleasant to listen to after a while. Can we just hear one solid note please? that's just my preference

plus opera singing is going to sound different than the way people sing for a movie. not to mention emmy was like 16 when she did that movie and while she's awesome i'm pretty sure this lady probably has more singing experience though I don't know how old she is. Stage singing is a lot different than movie singing...look at the difference between sweeney todd the movie and sweeney on stage...i love the movie but the stage performance is more powerful.

Approximately 10 years older than Emmy, but to be fair, Sarah received absolutely NO Classical training while Emmy reportedly did.

sarah may going too much vibrato for this part, but the original part where she sang in the 1986 is really awesome.. Emmy is not bad, but opera wise, sarah has a more power vocal.. personally i dun like Emmy singing really much coz of the nasal tone whenever she sings.. i prefer sarah's crystal clear voice...
