The traditions, the sense of traditions in general really. The US marines are the most tradition based of the military forces around the world. The training is also much severe then that of the Army of Airforce in terms of physical and mental punishment, its what makes them so damn resiliant and empowered in a conflict. Fromt he army they also work with smaller forces and are often deployed ahead of the army to "crack" enemy lines. They're very argueably the best of the best.
