You might be surprised to learn that the record for yearly snow accumulations resides right here in Washington.
The honor goes to our own Mt. Baker, which accumulated 1,140 inches of snow (that's 95 feet!) during the snowfall year of 1998-1999.
Of course, the old record belonged to Washington as well. Paradise Ranger Station on Mt. Rainier now falls to second place, having had 1,122 inches of snow during the 1971-1972 snowfall season.
