The movie took ... ( 4 months ago by Zalibaba)
The movie took place on one other world. The series rewrote the story to make it so there were many worlds, and many of the 'bosses' (i'm too lazy to go into details)..and eventually, access to other galaxies as well.

the goa'uld system ... ( 3 months ago by tzepesh20)
the goa'uld system lords put together are powerless against the palpatine's empire, first thing first palpatine has ships capable of going to any point in the galaxy in a matter of hours, secondly palpatine has millions of storm troopers at his disposal + his own sith lord powers, and thirdly palpatine has the death star which can blow to dust any goa'uld planet, the goa'uld have only a few thousand jaffa each + ships that aren't nowhere near as fast as a imperial star destroyer.
Just as a ... ( 3 months ago by s2k997)
Just as a counterpoint, we have seen some Hatak's travel between galaxies in a matter of hours, it is unusual but I wouldn't give the Starwars ships the certain advantage of speed. With a ZPM or Asgard/Ancient/Replicator implimented hyperdrives, intergalactic travel is possible on even simple things like shuttles that normally travel only twice the speed of light. The Star Destroyers aren't necessarily faster.
The System Lord ... ( 3 months ago by s2k997)
The System Lord Anubis had his own planet destroying mothership, that took on a fleet of about 15 regular motherships and destroyed half of them. Plus throwing a stargate into a sun would wipe out the whole solar system, planet killing is easy as pie. And the Goa'uld had several thousand Jaffa on Chulak alone, I'd say it's a gross misunderstimation to say a few thousand at most, hundreds of occupied worlds. Even the Kull Warriors were more numerous than that conservative estimate.
dude the goa'uld ... ( 3 months ago by tzepesh20)
dude the goa'uld system lords control only a few hundred worlds (possibly some thousands) which have stargates, palpatine's empire is the entire galaxy (almost) and does not need stargates to travel from one planet to another, in stargate interplanetary travel is possible but only if the star systems are close and not thousands or hundreds of light years away, and what are the jaffa compared to veteran clone troopers that fought in the clone wars + storm troopers and dark troopers phase 1, 2, 3.
You do realise the ... ( 3 months ago by s2k997)
You do realise the Goa'uld moved Stargates around, right? They put them on thier motherships and moved then to more desirable planets as they wished. And travelling around the Galaxy is easy, heck they can go intergalactic, interstellar is easy. They don't need the stargates to attack worlds; they sent a fleets to Earth from thousands of lightyears away, arriving within hours. Their society is fuedal and slow to build up an army, but once it is ready it can strike with great speed.
The training of ... ( 3 months ago by s2k997)
The training of both of the land armies is mostly unsourcable, and I can't tell which would be superior. Their energy weapons are both heavily inaccurate though, but the staff's give more of a kick when they do make that hit. I wouldn't say the Jaffa aren't Vetrans though, they live far longer and their entire culture and lives are manipulated to train them for battle, but I suppose the same could be said of the troopers. Neither side is lacking in combat experience as demonstrated.
it may be so but ... ( 3 months ago by tzepesh20)
it may be so but they do not have the strength of the sith lords like the empire has the goa'uld only have the iron fist of their tiranny in their evil the goa'uld aren't any different than the sith but when it comes to fighting palpatine will force lightning or chop to pieces with his light saber every goa'uld system lord foolish enough to provoke him :) in his wickedness palpatine is like 10 anubis put together :)
the jaffa train all ... ( 3 months ago by tzepesh20)
the jaffa train all their lives, palpatine's early clone troopers were the clones of jango fett a very inteligent and cunning mandalorian bounty hunter and so all the clone troopers possessed these traits (you do know that the mandalorians were fierce fighters, klingons are children compared to a mandalorian warrior), anyway the goa'uld have my respect even though they are snakes :P literaly but that is their weakness, without a host they are nothing.
Indeed, but Anubis ... ( 3 months ago by s2k997)
Indeed, but Anubis was unkillable essentially, while Palpatine was quite mortal. He's not someone to be taken lightly, but he won't be able to do that much to influence a battle due to his physical constraints. Plus if the ship he's on is destroyed, there isn't much he can do about it. He has wickedness and great powers that make him formidable face to face, essentially he has his limits and those can be taken advantage of. I'd say it would be a good matchup, neither side would be a pushover.

are you trying to ... ( 3 months ago by tzepesh20)
are you trying to say that mandalorians are cowards? :) if one heard you he would have hanged you by your tongue seriously mandalorians are a real pain when provoked, klingons have more of a attitude problem.
Nope-I never said ... ( 3 months ago by jnadreth)
Nope-I never said the Mandalorians were cowards (I don't know where u percieved that from?) The Klingons do have an attitude problem and I was just demonstrating how a Mandalorian would deal with that. Honestly the Mandalorians are up there with the Yatja (The Predator) in my opinion. Actually a Klingon boasting like that probabaly would be considered a challenge to a Mandalorian and would be quickly answered (Probably with blaster fire)
