Portrait Comparison - Male vs Female
Uploaded by: Sycra
Video Description:
It seems like a lot of people are either better at drawing women and have trouble with men, or vice-versa. Usually females have an easier time drawing females and males have an easier time drawing males. So I wanted to do a side-by-side comparison of some of the differences when drawing males compared to females. I know that the presentation is a bit weird and awkward, but it's the best way I could think of to show the differences. I included a colouring portion to show some of the concerns that need to be taken into account when colouring also. I had no idea what to call this, hence the crappy title.
Hope it helps some people.

Shame on you!!!
Listen; People express themselves in different ways. This is a HELL of a good picture either way. This person took their time to make this pic to give as a helpful reference to people who RESPECT the effort that they put into it- not to get senseless flaming from blockheads.
This really is astounding to me. I love the shading & coloring. ^^
I'm fine with drawing faces, but I almost always make mixed-gender-looking figures. When I draw females, I make the neck, shoulders and chin look too masculine. When I draw males, they always end up with a noticeable hourglass figure and skinny legs since I prefer slim builds on guys. xD
I like the Coloring and Shading.
