Sweep Picking Lesson

I made this over 2 years ago and supposedly it has helped a lot of people learn how to sweep. (but i doubt it) i had been playing almost 3 years at the time so my technique is actually pretty bad, now that i've improved a bit. this vid has some good starting stuff for learning the technique, even if it is really basic and dumb altogether. (my video)
oh, and btw. just because you do a sweep doesn't mean you played a lick. licks need to sound good, and you have to make something melodic to sound good, just doing random sweeps means you are retarded and have no sense of melody. (like me in my video) so yeah, always try to make musical phrases that you could even hum to when you write solos or anything. otherwise you are just dumbing down the music community and making it harder for me to wade through the terrible, terrible majority of music out there to get to the good stuff.

Except you wanna watch what you tell people. Some amps have some badass gain that will make a lot of string noise and be unclear/ Also ungrounded/shielded pickups will amplify some electrical currents in the air, thus causing hum.

Could you help me!? I am learning how to sweep pick at the moment and I have not so much problems with the left hand but loads with the right hand. I just changed the way i use my right hand to how you are using it in this video and it has helped but is it right/ok that my pick isn't paralell with the strings? its more kinda diagonal and it feels a lot smoother now when i pick, like a ball pen kinda feel. M

im practicing sweep picking for about 1 or 2 monts and still suck at speed (about 100-110 BPM 4 notes per beat) lol

You just work on your speed. Start off slow. Try the 3 string sweep he showed on here. It's a great way to get some practice. Just build up from there. That's what I did. And it helped me so much. I've hit a whole new level of guitar playing just because of his video. Just work at it. I promise you'll get it if you're dedicated.
