Back then you could only hear of these famous shows, now we get to see it all- fantastic! And they always had fights on stage at Clash shows. I was backstage at the first Clash show in NYC. Joe Strummer took the first five of the line outside the backstage door, and showed us around. We smoked a joint with him, and met the band. He was so cool about including the fans, and asked us about our experience at the show. A true socialist rock star- great guy

I think the guy in the red shirt is JohnyGreen who was the road manager of the band at this time.The ruck at the start&finish of this vid is its appeal for me-plus the size of the crowd-memories,memories!!!

i remember the first come first serve basis (According how he said it!!!) saying...i was with the band in all around europe.. in the summer..actually a roadie..i remember this concert..there was this "bastard that wanted the clash out of the stage.. but this guy with the leather jacket!! he was a fan of the clash so i took him to meet the band for his courtesy.. joey was one of the greatest persons i ever meet!!! (RIP)
