I don't understand why people bag on bands for being derivative.
What makes dipping 25 years into the past in 2007 any worse than dipping 5 years into the past in 1987? People are inspired by their predecessors, that's just a fact. But for some reason when a band is inspired by a sound tied with a particular earlier decade, they're automatically labeled biters.
Musical genres never die, they just fall out of the mainstream light. Quit with the "in my day..." bs.
