Peanut butter is the secret ingredient for magic potions made by two 'friendly' ghosts. Eleven-year-old Michael looses all of his hair when he gets a 'fright' and uses the potion to get his hair back, but too much peanut butter causes things to get a bit 'hairy'.

I know just what you mean! my brother mentioned it to me the other day and I thought, "Eureka!", that must be it! look it up and it sure is. couldn't really remember the name, but I remembered the plot, especially the peanut butter part.

The one part that STILL sticks out from this movie for me was when the bald kid's friend smeared that weird peanut butter concoction on his crotch (they merely "hint" at it, lol). Next thing you know, his pubes are growing right out of his pant legs, hahaha...>;-D

I still have the VHS, it reminds me of when I was little. It was very creepy but that's why I love it. Though defining it as 'heartwarming' is kind of misleading lol...even though it made me cry when he was sad about losing his hair.

When I was smaller, HBO tried to use a promo with a creepy announcer when this movie came on in the late 80s. I decided to give it a try and strangely enough, it wasn't scary at all. If anything it was very enjoyable and my favorite character was Connie.
That kid had a fast mind and a sharp tongue to boot. I always tried to imitate that kid when I was smaller.

Yeah this movie scared me when I was a kid too. The part where the guy uses the kids hair on an assembly line and when he sleeps he has trip wires connected to his fingers. I always thought that part was the worst.
